Located in the area of Istanbul, Eyüp is on the Golden Horn, and the region extends to the Black Sea. The town itself lies beyond the walls of Istanbul and is known as a burial area. The Eyüp Sultan Mosque is a sacred place, as it holds the remains of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, the companion and standard-bearer of the Prophet Muhammad. As part of the Arab Army, al-Ansari was killed during the first attempt to capture Constantinople and was buried here. This table runner is based on an İznik tile that can be found in the Eyüp Sultan Mosque.

This easy to make runner was quick to run up and is adored by everyone who has seen it.
