Squares, rectangles, and blocks are nice. Everyone loves blocks. But once in a while a quilter might wonder—what if the block had more sides? Perhaps even six sides?
Adventures in Hexagons by Emily Breclaw lets the squares take a break and brings hexagons, triangles, and diamonds out to play. I love that Emily encourages quilters to expand beyond one-size-only hexies and create a piece that uses all different kinds of dimensions and arrangements. Taking hexies for a spin results in amazing designs, such as Hello, Orion, which captures the beautiful, starry constellation on a quilt.
Clearly hexagons are versatile. So the questions now is, what will you create with them?
