Trying Out Designs

MAXINE SAYS:

Here is a panel that is 24˝ × 42˝. And so, the experimenting began.

First, I decided that what I liked best was the bottom half of the panel. I did not use all the hexagons, but enough of them that I was satisfied. At first, I put the panel in the center with hexagons on the bottom and sides.

Then I decided that I was covering too much of the panel. I changed that to expose more blue, which changed the hexagons that I used.

The third design was with hexagons on the bottom and to the right of the panel with two that would fit into the border.

I found that I liked the top half of the panel too and started designing with this top half.

The possibilities are endless. Keep designing and redesigning until you find what you really like. Photograph as you go along so that you can get back to a design you like best.
