Masako Wakayama opened Crib Quilt, her studio and storefront, in 1987. It was named for the first quilt she made for her daughter, Emi. Over the course of the past three decades, Masako has honed her craft and is now a world-renowned quilting expert who also specializes in crochet, English paper piecing, punch needle, appliqué, cross-stitch, and embroidery. She shares her love of quilting by travelling around the world teaching workshops and participating in exhibitions. She has published ten books in multiple languages and has been designing her fabric line, “American Country,” with Lecien for two decades.
