Katrina Walker's personal serging adventure began in junior high when her mother bought a serger. Intrigued by the possibilities, she quickly learned how to use the serger to enhance her wardrobe with many pairs of stirrup pants (it was the ‘80s, after all) and other fashion items. She bought her own serger as soon as she could afford one and still considers sergers to be an essential tool in her professional sewing studio. Katrina's creations and sewing expertise are featured in many publications, including Threads, Stitch, Sew News, SewStylish, and Creative Machine Embroidery. She regularly teaches at the Houston International Quilt Festival, the Sewing and Stitchery Expo, and other national sewing events and guild conferences. She is also a popular instructor online, where her highly rated classes with Craftsy, Taunton Workshops, BurdaStyle, and Craft Daily have enrolled thousands of students worldwide. She is a PFAFF Brand Ambassador and national educator, a Sulky Sewcialite, and a Husqvarna Viking national educator.
