Erin first fell in love with sewing at age seven, when she attended a kids' sewing class at the Lucie Stern Community Center in Palo Alto, California. While growing up, she enjoyed sewing stuffed animals for friends and clothing for herself and, of course, for her dolls.
Erin holds a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University and lives in the beautiful Willamette Valley, Oregon, with her husband, children, two cats, chinchilla, and house rabbit. She teaches sewing locally and is an active volunteer in her daughter's 4-H sewing group.
She is the designer and blogger behind Avery Lane Designs, an Etsy doll-clothing pattern shop.
