Cheryl Brickey started quilting in 2010 to make her then toddler daughter a quilt for her first bed and has been quilting non-stop since. Cheryl was born and raised in New Jersey and now calls South Carolina home where she and her husband are raising their two children. She has a chemical engineering degree and spends her days writing patent applications for a private textile and chemical company. Cheryl uses her technical writing and math skills in each of her designs, with quilt math being one of her favorite elements to pattern writing.
Cheryl is an active member of her local traditional and modern guilds and is very involved with the online quilting community. Cheryl has won numerous awards for her quilts and designs and has been featured on the Moda Bake Shop, in Modern Quilts Unlimited, Quiltmaker, Make Modern, Quilty, and Fat Quarterly, and in QuiltCon and other international quilt shows.
