Journey into Cosplay Creating

Cosplay is here, and it’s here to stay! Hello, my name is Amanda and I am a cosplayer. Cosplay is the pairing of the words costume and role playing, but it’s honestly so much more than that. Cosplay is an art form and for many it's a hobby that has taken over their lives, in a good way.
In my new book, Creative Cosplay, I will take you through how to make your first cosplay costume, breakdown fabric, and how to sew, as well as take you into what a typical day is like for a cosplayer at a convention. Spoiler alert, there is a lot more to it than just smiling and posing for pretty pictures. I’ll also explain how to pick out the fabric you’ll need to create that Disney princess gown you’ve been wanting to start or help you begin to source the leather for your Geralt from The Witcher cosplay.
As a beautiful bonus, in my book are galleries of some of today’s top cosplay competition winners and their creations. Competitions are an aspect of cosplay that you can participate in. I have competed nationally and won cosplay contests with my creations I’ve made. The competition game is a tough one, and I’ll walk you through how to understand it and how to get ready to be judged!
