Asia Currie lives in northern California with her three children, three guinea pigs, and one hamster. She has worked as an art and handwork teacher at Nevada City School of the Arts since 1998. In working with all the grade levels, she has found that children of all ages - girls and boys alike - love to craft and sew. She has found that it nurtures the creative essence within. When Asia is not teaching, she can be found outdoors in the magical world of nature, where she finds much of her artistic inspiration. She also studies the martial art of aikido and endeavors to bring its philosophy of peaceful reconciliation into her daily life. Mostly she loves fairies and nature spirits, which can be found frolicking through the pages of this book.
