Kelsey Anilee Smith has loved all things old from a young age. Growing up with folks who collected remnants of the past and shared history, this was practically an inherited trait. Nevertheless, it was a passion of her own and led her to earning a bachelor or arts in history from Cleveland State University and an master of arts in museum studies from Indiana University—Purdue University Indianapolis.
Her work in museums and love of studying the past continually inspires her work. Beginning as a Fraktur artist in the Pennsylvania German style, she eventually dabbled with embroidery and fell in love with stitching.
