This is an excellent resource in color planning. The time invested in learning to use this tool is time well spent. When you can tell a color/value choice you have made is not correct - this tool provides real choices in color, complimentary colors and values; having the cards gives an actual color to compare your other choices and you can make a better/correct choice.

I purchased this because I wanted help with choosing fabric color combinations in my needle-turn applique projects. It is very simple to use and has instructions printed within the "book" itself, I appreciate the fact that I don't have to go searching for them anywhere else. I do encourage others to purchase this, well built and helpful tool.

I have had this tool before, used it so much it fell apart. It has helped me a great deal when choosing fabrics. I prefer the color wheel over the Newton version of the color wheel.
