Sewing and Embroidery Books Will Now Include Metric Measurements

Posted by Deirdre Quirk on Jun 13th 2019

We've got some seriously exciting news to share! Moving forward, all of our garment-sewing and embroidery titles will include metric measurements (meters, centimeters, etc.) for all projects, patterns, and instructions. Now, we're not getting rid of our standard imperial measurements (yards, inches, etc.); we're just adding in metric measurements parenthetically. That means that all of our non-U.S. readers will now be able to join in the stitching fun without needing to convert anything!

The first two books to include metric measurement will be coming out this fall: A Stylish Guide to Classic Sewing by Sarah Gunn and Julie Starr (November 2019) and Heirloom Embroidery from Brian Haggard (October 2019).

We're so pleased to be able make these books more accessible to our readers in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and the rest of the world. Let your international friends know!
