  • Any pullouts that were once part of the original have now been formatted to fit the page size of the POD version. All patterns for the book are either included at the end of the POD or via a download link printed in the POD.

  • A Print-on-Demand (POD) Edition will be printed after purchase and arrive separately from any in-stock items. ALL PRINT-ON-DEMAND SALES ARE FINAL.

USING DOWNLOADABLE PATTERNS

While our books previously contained pull-out patterns, newer books now use downloadable patterns. C&T is a green company, and we always look for ways to save resources and help the environment. With downloadable patterns, you can print only the pattern(s) you want, which helps reduce waste and saves paper.

Finding Downloadable Patterns

The patterns in the books are shared in two ways: Through a TinyURL or with a QR code.

- Using TinyURLs - To access the pattern through the TinyURL, just type the TinyURL (a web address) provided into your browser window.

- Using a QR code - To access the pattern through the QR code, open the camera app on your phone and aim the camera at the QR code. You don't need to take a picture. When the QR code is centered, a window should pop up at the top of the screen with a link that takes you to the pattern.

Using Downloadable Patterns

When you type your TinyURL into your browser window or capture the QR code, your digital pattern will open up. You can print directly from the browser window or download the pattern.

Our downloadable patterns are available in a format that can be printed at home on an 8.5”x11” A4/US Letter. Patterns containing elements too large to fit on an 8.5”x11” piece of paper also come with an optional “copyshop” format for large-scale printing. When printing, be sure to print to scale at 100%. Our patterns have a 1” registration mark; measure that mark to help verify that the pattern has printed at the correct size.

How do I access patterns on my Kindle?

Amazon has disabled the ability to print from the .mobi files on their devices. For some genres, that’s understandable, but crafting books often contain patterns that require printing. Within each book is a TinyURL that will take you to a website with your printable patterns. The location of the TinyURL varies from book to book. If you need help accessing your pattern please contact us at ctinfo@ctpub.com.

PERMISSIONS AND SUBMISSIONS

What do I need to enter my quilt in a show?

You do not need permission to enter your quilt in a show, but please remember to credit the author and book as the creator of the pattern. For example, Quilt Name, from the Book Title, by Author's Name.

Can I sell items I make with your patterns?

While we encourage you to use our products to create beautiful pieces for personal use only, you may not sell items made with our patterns. Our talented authors and staff invest a great deal of time and effort into creating our books and patterns. Reproducing and selling projects from our books violates copyright law and is therefore prohibited.

TAP and kraft-tex

Where can I find support for TAP?

You can get direct support about TAP from Lesley Riley by visiting her TAP Tips, Info, and FAQs page. If you still have additional questions, you can email Lesley directly at lesley@lesleyriley.com.

How do I learn more about kraft-tex?

We have a lot of free resources to help you on your kraft-tex journey:

Is kraft-tex recyclable?

Kraft-tex is made from cellulose (paper) pulp, a synthetic latex binder, and dye. It is recyclable with the proper defibering technology. However, the same properties that make kraft-tex washable and extremely durable require more processing to recycle than newsprint or magazines, which have very little binder content. Please check with your local recycling facility to confirm that they have the ability to process it.
