Heidi Pridemore

Heidi Pridemore was born and raised in Rochester, New York. She is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design. Upon graduating from RIT, Heidi went to work in the craft industry, where she designed over 200 products for the educational market, using a variety of media. During this time, Heidi gained invaluable experience writing and illustrating instructions for people of varying skills and age levels.

In 1998 Heidi moved to Arizona, where she started her own business designing pop-up art for commercial use. Over time, her business moved on to specialize in designing projects for the quilting and fabric industry. Though she has gone on to become a well-known quilt and fabric designer, she has never forgotten her passion for designing dimensional art from paper and how enjoyable it is to design die-cut pieces that fold up into whatever shape she desires. She is thrilled to return to her roots and share her knowledge of papercrafts.

Best known for her whimsical and unique quilts in dramatic, bright colors, Heidi has created quilts for a number of fabric companies, including Timeless Treasures, Robert Kaufman, Michael Miller, and Clothworks. Her work has been published in variety of magazines, such as Quiltmaker, McCall's Quilting, and Quilt Magazine. She has also designed fabric lines for Fabri-Quilt and Blank Quilting.

Heidi spends much of her time designing, traveling to trade shows and lectures, and running workshops, but when she's not traveling, she lives in Arizona with her husband, Matthew, and their dog, Cleo.
