Crafts to Celebrate Color of the Year 2023

Jan 27th 2023

It's official: 2023 is the year of magenta. Viva Magenta 18-1750, that is. That's according to the Pantone Color Institute, the authoritative consultancy that's christened an "it color" every year for over 20 years.

Pantone describes Viva Magenta as "a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength."

Pantone uses other words to characterize the color — and, by extension, the current cultural moment — powerful, empowering, electrifying, boundaryless, audacious, and inclusive.

"Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative," Pantone says.

So here's your invitation to add a pop of vibrancy to your projects and home this year! We love that the bold hue strikes the perfect balance between warm and cool, and we encourage you to be more experimental in your design choices.
