Tricia Lynn Maloney

Tricia Lynn MaloneyTricia Lynn Maloney made her first quilt twenty years ago, after graduating from college with a degree in history. That first quilt, fondly called Ugly Quilt, opened a brand new world for her. Before long, Tricia had learned free-motion machine quilting and had begun designing her own quilts. She worked in a quilt shop, earned a master's degree in education, and taught young children for many years, all while honing her quilting skills. Later, Tricia became a librarian at her community library.

Although Tricia began her quilting path as a traditional quilter with an interest in antique quilts, she has since discovered that there are infinite and wonderful ways to blend the traditional with the contemporary. The modern quilt movement has further inspired her to design more contemporary quilts while still using her favorite traditional techniques and blocks.

I Love Precut Quilts! is Tricia’s third book. Her first book, Orphan Block Quilts: Making a Home for Antique, Vintage, Collectible, and Leftover Quilt Blocks, was published in 2010 and her second book, A Russian Journey in Quilts: The Story of Nicholas and Nina Filatoff, was published in 2013. Tricia loves to share her passion for quilting with others through teaching, lecturing, and designing for popular quilting magazines.
