C&T Publishing has a new craft product both intriguing and inspiring. Kraft-Tex is technically a paper, but it's a paper which combines the best of leather and fabric. You can sew it, stamp it, draw on it or print on it. Use it for totes, wallets, journals, book covers and almost anything else you can think of. Even as technically a paper, it is fiber based and can be washed, making it softer and pleasantly crinkly. Available by bolt, or in smaller packages 18 inches by 1.63 yards - think Christmas projects here and be creative!

Paper That Performs Like Fabric
Kraft-tex is a unique paper that mimics the appearance of leather but can be cut, sewn, and washed like fabric. This tough yet supple product is available in natural, white, and black, on rolls and bolts. Think tote bags, belts, wallets, book covers, home dec projects, and more.

Are you looking for an interesting new medium? Kraft tex is an entirely new way to let your imagination run loose! It looks like heavy paper, but it cuts and sews like fabric. It's available in rolls or bolts, depending on the size of your project. We had a think-tank session at the office and came up with a zippered coupon caddy, lunch box nametags, a woven basket, placemats, and stamped journal covers. When you wash it, it becomes softer, more pliable, and gives it a slightly wrinkled texture. If you have grandkids, this is a great item to have on hand. You can draw, cut, sew, glue, stamp, and maybe even wear it.
Review Burda Style - Summer 2014 - June 13, 2014
How's this for a combo of mediums? Kraft-Tex is a paper product that washes, cuts, and sews like fabric, but looks and feels like leather as it softens and wears. This means it's easy (and animal-friendly!) to make leather-like projects. In black, white, and natural.

Okay, this stuff is clearly something directly out of the Harry Potter world. Kraft-Tex is paper that looks and feels like leather, but is as sewable – and washable – as fabric. It’s so durable, you can make book covers and wallets and shoes with it, and it will just get softer the more you use it. You can draw or paint on it, and even run it through your inkjet printer. Next they’ll tell us you can make a Marauder’s Map with it. Mischief managed.
