Review Stacy Sews - July 1, 2008
"Even though I've used my computer and printer to create my own fabric, what I've tried is nothing in comparison to what this instructional video teaches you. The instructor discusses everything you need to know to create your own material from printers and inks (I had no idea that different companies had their own type of printer ink that could affect how you treat your new fabric), types of materials that can be used (and how inks react with them), and different programs available to create unique effects and images and how to use them. I actually learned quite a bit from watching this video and now finding myself wanting a scanner\copier\printer now more than ever."
Review The Artful Dogger - August 4, 2008
"This is a must-have DVD for newbies entering the world of computing and fiber arts! Lynn Koolish walks the viewer, simply and concisely, through everything one needs to know about how to create, manipulate, and print digital images onto fabric using home computer equipment.
I'm guessing that this subject matter doesn't really exist in class form at most quilt and fabric shops. That reason alone makes this unique DVD a necessary addition to your fiber arts and crafting library.
The DVD is paced nice and slow----a definite advantage for beginners. This prevented me from having to stop and replay it in order to retain the concepts.
In addition to the video portion of the DVD, there is a helpful PDF that you can print and use as a quick reference guide. This is a great bonus that you will probably be glad to have once the DVD is over and you are sitting at your computer, ready to get started.
Overall, if you are a fiber artist or crafter who is not already well-versed in computer graphics production, I recommend this DVD. "

"I've watched other quilters create fabulous printed fabric using their own home printer. But now I want to be able to do it too. Perhaps you, like me, feel overwhelmed about getting started.
This DVD, Lynn Koolish Teaches You Printing on Fabric, took away all my anxiety about this technique. You'd expect it to be well organized and thorough, but it is also easy to listen to, with great visuals and examples, and Lynn's sense of humor comes through. I loved the extra PDF file with tips, reminders, resources and quick information which I printed out for easy reference.
I also really enjoyed the special features with an introduction to Lynn, the gallery of quilts, and a tour of her studio and garden.
The DVD is 'only' an hour, but it is packed with information. It would be easy to watch it straight through, but I watched it in segments, so I could think about what I just learned. My computer is in my workroom, so I could watch and do at the same time, but I used the printed out PDF file as a reference.
I highly recommend this DVD. It really brings the technique to life and shows just how easy it is to get started. I originally planned to make labels for my quilts, but now I'm inspired to make my own fabric for upcoming projects."

"I love this DVD! I had no experience at all with printing on fabric (in fact, I’m a confirmed technophobe). But Lynn Koolish’s calm, reassuring manner and clear step-by-step presentation made the techniques and processes instantly approachable and non-threatening. She takes the viewer through the entire process at just the right pace. Instructions begin with very basic information about printers and inks, and progress all the way through how to electronically manipulate and enhance your own photos to create unique quilts and other projects. Koolish even shows how you can scan objects to use in making wonderful collage-style works of art. By the end, I felt that I could jump right in and begin having fun with the equipment and photos I already have on hand. The accompanying Quick-Start PDF summarizes in handy form all the basics you need to know to get started. I highly recommend this guide to anyone who wants to learn about this fascinating process."
Review Fiber & Stitch - May 1, 2009
“The presentation is so clear and step by step that it was easy to follow and learn how to print on fabric. Lynn Koolish covers printers and their settings for various projects using an inkjet type including posters and pieced larger than one fabric sheet, types of fabrics, manipulating designs on the computer before printing using Photoshop Elements as well as several extra programs and more. She explains each step very well and goes over things to make sure the explanation is clear. This is definitely a good DVD. “
