"It is always exciting when Carol Armstrong comes out with a new book. "Patches and Posies" is her latest book and once again Carol takes us into new creative territory. In this book Carol combines her signature flower patterns with appliqued patches. These patches are based on traditional quilt blocks but are appliqued to the piece rather than sewed as blocks. The 24 flower patterns are beautiful and very natural looking. Embellishment suggestions include beads and embroidery. There are 8 projects included in the book that will get you started off on the right foot. Carol's instructions cover each step in the process and also include some quilting motifs. I like to collect flower patterns and this book is going to the top of my list of favorites."
