" I absolutely love altering stuff, boxes, books, pictures, anything. When I found the array of blank products that C&T had, I was thrilled! I am always looking for new, exciting and fun stuff to do. Then I found Jan Bode Smileys ”Altered Board Books Basics & Beyond" - this book blows away most of the other books on altering. And it covers everything! From the start of the book you'll find all sorts of funky ideas, including peeling, using gesso, and sanding your book (and it explains why you are doing each step). Then the book goes on to explain what each tool, action, or medium, what is for, and why you need it. The book also delves into setting eyelets, creating a niche, and SO much more! There is even a section in the back that has on-line resources. I can honestly say I didn't think that a book this tiny could pack so much information in it AND actuality have some ideas I'd never heard of. . .I highly recommend this book to beginners as well as those who are just looking for some innovative new ideas..."
