Review   Austalian Homespun - December 1, 2009
“Prepared to be amazed! This book is about using fabric in lots of fun ways, no sewing required. Many of the projects can be completed in less than an hour. How? The “magic” is simply fusible interfacing-fabric and interfacing are the two main requirements for all of the projects in this book. Included are instructions for games, toy, gifts and decorations. While the little ones will need supervision, especially with the iron, children from say 11 years up will be able to successfully tackle many of the projects themselves-and wont they feel like a star! A book that could well launch many a long and happy crafting.”

"When I saw this book while browsing the C & T Publishing Web site, I just knew I had to check it out! Fabric is one of my favorite mediums when it comes to crafting. I love sewing and quilting, but I know many of you do not have the time, equipment, or patience to sew toys let alone let the kids participate. Not only is this book full of gifts, toys, and games you can make for kids, but kids of all ages can participate in making them. The youngest kids can be involved by paging through the look to find the projects they like best. They can also pick out the fabric to use. Older kids can do everything from choosing the project and fabric to making the craft. All of the projects in this book are made using the same basic supplies and directions. The projects in this book are made using fabric and stiff, fusible interfacing. You will also need an iron, pen, and scissors. Some of the projects will require more basic tools and embellishments items, but they are all basic supplies you probably already have on hand. You can make sturdy flat and dimensional projects with the help of the stiff, fusible interfacing. The author, Mary Link, guides you through creating everything from flat bookmarks and postcards to mobiles and party supplies. I love the games section which teaches you how to make your own cards, puzzles, ring toss game, bowling, and more. There are also plenty of ideas for holidays and even home decor...Once you get started making these projects, you won't want to stop! I could stay busy for hours sorting through my bins of fabric and creating the fun crafts in this book. Many kids will do the same, depending on the age of course. Everyone in the family can easily take part in making these crafts."

"Taking crafting for children to a whole new level, author Mary Link has compiled a volume dedicated to the innovative method of fusible interfacing. This unique kind of interfacing is available from publishers C&T Publishing - heat-fusible on both sides, it removes the need for stitching. The finished results can be easily achieved in minimum time, meaning that children will find this kind of crafting extremely rewarding. As you would expect from the title, patterns are simple and have plenty of safety tips and shortcuts as well as fun ideas for improvising and taking designs further. Projects range from stationery, games and puzzles to decorations, dressing up and accessories. This is a great book to have on hand for rainy afternoons."
