"Board Book Play: Easy Techniques from A to Z is filled with more than thirty different techniques from thirty-six of the top designers in their field. You will find book projects covering each letter of the alphabet. Many of the letters have more than one project; over fifty projects in all. You will learn many techniques with step-by-step instructions, plus full size patterns. The techniques in this book will inspire a quilter, doll maker, scrapbooker and bead enthusiast. Even if you are a beginner, you will find many projects easy to do.

The first project is an Acetate Overlay with the letter A where Beth Hooper shares how to create multiple layers with paper to give a book a three-dimensional look. Another project, by Elinor Peace Bailey, with the letter A is an art doll where you will find body parts to trace and make an adorable book that has moving parts. Margert Ann Kruljac will show a gorgeous little fantasy book that can be created with pretend ancestors using simple embellishments for the letter E. Each of the thirty-six contributing artists will share creative projects with Board Book Play.

Learn how to do surface treatments like painting, batik, and decoupage as well as how to embellish your books by adding journaling and quotations. Each project is this book features ideas using the “ready to go” blank board books, as they are acid free, no prep, and fun to decorate. When using these board books, you can paint, alter, draw, journal, emboss, cut windows and embellish as well as add brads and eyelets with ease. The possibilities are endless. These blank board books are designed for everyone, including croppers and altered book artists."
