Review   Calgary Herald - April 17, 2008
"Can you knit a rectangle? This book takes the humble rectangle and transforms it with a few ruffles or edging into sweaters, scarves, throws and bags. Techniques are as easy as creating texture by switching needle sizes, to more complicated patterns using cable-knits. But there is very little in the way of complicated shaping -- form comes in the easy assembly of the rectangles.

Rebecca Wat has come up with some beautiful and feminine projects for knitters. One whimsical scarf in seed stitch is edged with drawstring balls (also made from knit rectangles) on beaded strings. Patterns for three kinds of shrugs (almost like bolero tops) are included, with the ruffled shrug ready to dress up a night out with its lacy collar and cuffs.

The book contains a reference guide of easy-to-follow photographs for various knitting techniques, from casting on and different stitches to the steps involved in making a buttonhole."
