Review   Yarn Marketing News - January 1, 2008
"There are so many ways fibers can be paired, it's sometimes overwhelming for knitters to figure out how to mingle variegateds with solids, slubs with smoothies, novelties with classics. The Grecos have taken the guesswork away in this 330-swatch-strong reference--categorized by seasonal spectrums--that highlights marriage material for myriand yarn types and hues. Substitution, the color wheel and a bit about basic fiber characteristics preface the samples. Display the book next to a compatible hodge-podge of slow- and hot-selling skeins and watch what happens."

"... It explicitly describes the various yarn types and their properties, including characteristics, variations, seasonal
preferences, project ideas, average weight range, troubleshooting, compatible pairing yarns, and additional comments.  There are photos of knitted samples that show the differences in pairing different types of yarns.  It's very useful if you're looking to start a project and you want to add some depth to your project by mixing yarns together.  There is a section devoted to pairing colors regarding the seasons.  The different color pairings are explored for each season.  Lastly, there are some patterns, if you'd like to try your hand at yarn pairings."
