Sandy Bonsib

Sandy Bonsib is a teacher by profession and a quilter by passion. She has a graduate degree in education and has taught and lectured locally since 1993 and nationally since 1997. She has authored nine books (two for C&T Publishing). She has appeared on Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel, Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson, and was one of six featured artists on “Quilts of the Northwest,” 1998. In 2003 she was nominated for teacher of the year. Sandy also coordinates Quilts for the Children, a group that has made over 3,000 quilts for the children of battered women. She mentors high school students doing their senior projects in quiltmaking. She also is a professional quilt appraiser.

Sandy lives on a small farm on Cougar Mountain in Washington, with her family and many animals. She also raises puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
