Biography:
Lynne Farris brings a lifetime of design experience to the world of creative sewing and fiber arts.
Trained as a visual artist, she earned master of fine arts degree in painting before beginning her career as a college art instructor. She worked for several years as a designer in the toy and juvenile products industries and has had her own business since 1982 as a designer of puppets, corporate and sports mascots, and props for commercials.
Lynne is the author of six books on fiber arts, including Fresh Felt Flowers and Fast, Fun & Easy® Needle Felting, published by C&T Publishing. She appears frequently on HGTV, DIY, and PBS as a guest on creative programs.
She shares her expertise as a creative consultant to several leading manufacturers and is the owner of Lynne Farris Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia, where many of her textile works are on display.
