Biography:
It all started in childhood, when Sharon fought with her sister as to who got to sleep under which of their grandmother's quilts. As an adult, Sharon Rexroad is an award-winning quilter, respected teacher and author, and recipient of a Nebraska Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship. Sharon's quilts have won three NQA awards and been juried into multiple AQS and IQA shows. Five of her quilts have been on magazine covers, most notably Diamond Pineapple #8: Faerie Ring in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine (April 1999) and Perennial Friends in McCall's Quick Quilts (May 2001). Sharon presented her unique Doily Magic method with huge success on HGTV's Simply Quilts. She enjoys teaching at guilds and conferences such as International Quilt Festival. She is known for her sense of color, a willingness to share her secrets, her humorous view of life as a quilt designer, and her ability to draw out the best from each student.
