Biography:
Kathy learned to use a sewing machine at the age of 9 but focused her efforts on clothing construction rather than on quilting. She began quilting in 1982 when she attended a quilting class with a friend. At first as a hobby, and then as a means of extra income, Kathy began to do machine quilting full-time when she became self-suporting in 1998. At the urging of friends, Kathy submitted her first book proposal in 2000, and Show Me How to Machine Quilt was published in 2002.
