Biography:
As a skilled, insightful, and humorous lecturer and workshop teacher, Jean finds the demands for her time are great.
Jean's being awarded the Silver Star Award at Quilt Festival in Houston attests to her popularity and to the attention she devotes to each class and to each student. As an exhibiting artist, always short of studio time, Jean insists that soon she will quit "running around" to stay home and concentrate on her own work. In the meantime she'll teach all over, including New York, Florida, and Hawaii, as well as in her hometown.
Jean lives with her husband Frank, a retired professor of art, in the Sierra foothills where they are visited by foxes, wild turkeys, grandchildren, quilters, family, and friends. She continues to write, do commission work, garden a little, read a lot, and keep the silk screen (and bridge cards) moving.
