You should pay special attention to the plus signs ( + ). In this block they make the difference between success and flop. The plus means to add a scant 1/16" to the measurement given; as in 3 1/2" + means to add 1/16" to the 3 1/2" when you are cutting. Without that little bit extra, the block will pucker and won't lie flat.
Page 69 - Blazing Star
Step 4 should read: Mark matching marks on all B's as shown on page 17. This gives you equal bunny ears. Attach them to the center square. Next, mark matching marks on the 4 medium floral C's and attach them to the sides of the A/B square unit, using the block illustration as your guide.
