The Tale of the Pink Rhino
Susan's inspiration for this quilt came from a 16th-century wood-cut by German artist Albrecht Durer—a favorite of hers since high school. One day while looking at some luscious pink fabric, she saw the rhino's armor in the design. At that moment, the idea for a pink rhino came together in her head. After more than a year of collecting just the right fabrics, "Albie" was born. Susan says about her work, "...anything from dodos to rhinos is fair game. Any color is possible, and the patterns in fabrics are there for me to search out and exploit to the best of my ability." |

New Retailer Forum on Linked in
We have set up a Retailer Forum Group just for YOU! Sign up or sign in to your own Linked in account and search for "C&T Publishing" under Groups. Request to join and we will hook you up with other quilt shops around the world. C&T has started a couple discussions to get the ball rolling, but we encourage all the group members to start discussions, pose questions, answer questions and get to know each other. If multiple shops in the same geographical area want to join, but are concerned about sharing information with a competitor, we will advise those shops and work out a mutual agreement. |
