Celebrate the Seasons Class Plan

Merry & Bright Class Plan

From Celebrate the Seasons by Cherry Guidry

Make a whimsical and easy holiday quilt while learning the wonderful technique of fusible appliqué

Class Description

A fun project for all skill levels. This class will focus on teaching the technique of fusible appliqué, from preparing the appliqué pieces, background fabrics, to thread choices, and helpful tips on making this an enjoyable process. Students may choose to complete the full project or work on the center block in the design.

Class Length

3 Hours: this class can be offered as a fusible appliqué technique class where the focus is on learning the technique and students work on elements of the quilt’s center block.

Two Days (6 hours each): on Day One, the students learn the technique and work on the appliquéd center block, they are then responsible for finishing all the appliqué blocks at home; on Day Two, the students come prepared to finish the quilt (depending on their skill level, it’s very helpful if they precut all the quilt’s fabrics at home).
