Carolyn Cullinan McCormick

Carolyn Cullinan McCormick

Carolyn Cullinan McCormick was raised on a ranch in eastern Montana. She started quilting in 1985 and soon began teaching a variety of quilting and craft classes. In 1995, she invented the Add-A-Quarter ruler. The original design was meant to be used with templates, to automatically add the quarter-inch seam allowance and allow sewists to use their rotary cutters to cut multiple pieces all at once. A short time later, the paper-piecing world discovered how wonderful it was for paper piecing. It is now a standard must-have tool for anyone wanting to paper piece.

Carolyn has been married to her husband Larry for 31 years. They have been blessed with a daughter, Jennifer, a son, Ryan, and his wife, Megan.
