Photo Friday: Fall 2015 Quilt Market Recap

Posted by

We are back from Quilt Market, and what a whirlwind it was! In case you're wondering what in the world #Quiltmarket is, it is a trade show that takes place bi-annually for the quilt industry. Shop Owners, fabric designers, pattern designers, distributors, media, publishers, and more attend the show. Quilt Market is (unfortunately) not open to the general public, but that's why we're showing you the inside scoop on all things Fall Quilt Market today!

{L-R, top to bottom}

1. Victoria Findlay Wolfe signing copies of Double Wedding Ring Quilts in our booth.

2. Deanne Eisenman posing with a fan during her book signing of Blooming Patchwork.

3. "Purplewaddy" quilt by our sales rep, Ruthmary, using Paula Nadelstern's gorgeous, brand new fabric line called ChromaZone with Benartex. Paula premiered her new line at market, and we loved seeing all of the gorgeous designs. Scroll down to see another look at her new line.

4. Log Jam Quilt by Kate Carlson Colleran hanging in our booth from upcoming release, 75 Fun Fat Quarter Quilts. Psst! It's available for pre-order now!

5. A long line of excited fans waiting to meet Gudrun Erla at her book signing of Strip Your Stash.

6. Kathy Doughty signing copies of Adding Layers.

7. Yours truly with Jocelyn, trade show coordinator, posing with the ever-so-popular Mrs. Bobbins who was our booth celeb!

8. Mandy Leins standing in front of the Octagon Shimmer Quilt with her new book, Wanderlust Quilts.

9. Selfie time with Rebecca Bryan and a miniature Samarra Khaja! If you missed Samarra's Instagram takeover on our account, check out #SKatQuiltMarket for all of the shenanigans!

Our lovely authors and their gorgeous booths!

1. Mary Fons' Small Wonders booth won 'Best Merchandising Award'! Read more on Mary's blog.

2. We loved Elizabeth Hartman's booth theme! How fun is her Legendary Quilt?!

3. The ladies of Cotton and Steel in their always creative booth. Side note: We saw blue all over the show floor - blue and white combos are certainly trending!

4. Marny Buck and Jill Guffy of Quilts Du Jour in their booth, which was kitty-korner to us!

5. Valori Wells in her colorful & cozy booth.

6. Shannon Brinkley looking gorgeous in her modern, inviting booth!

But wait, there's more!

Loved RJR Fabric's #Quilt with Love origami wall at their booth!

Our team enjoyed these scrumptious desserts at Underbelly in Houston after a long day of set-up!

Texture everywhere!

Texture reigned as one of the top trends at fall market. These textured beauties have us very inspired...

The ChromaZone sphere by Paula Nadelstern: Paula's new fabric line adhered to a sphere and embellished with sparkly beads and pins. We wanted to take them all home with us!

The 'Vintage Gone Modern' quilt from Wool Appliqué The Piece O' Cake Way shown during Becky Goldsmith's Schoolhouse session. Look at all of those beautiful layers and texture!
