Paper Piece a Sand Castle for July!

Please enjoy this free paper-piecing pattern, taken from Cute & Clever Totes by Mary Hertel. This block can be mixed and matched with any of Mary's patterns (or your own)!

Materials

  • Scraps of light blue, dark blue, orange, red,
  • black, brown, and tan

    Directions

    For detailed directions, refer to Paper-Piecing Basics in Cute & Clever Totes.

    1. Make 4 copies of pattern (A, B, C, D). You can download the pattern here

    2. Cut into segments; add 1/4 ̋ seam allowances.

    3. Paper piece each segment.

    4. Connect segments: A to B, A/B to C to D.

    5. Trim block to 8 ̋ × 8 ̋ (unfinished).
