Beth Ferrier

Beth Ferrier

Beth Ferrier's grandmother taught her to embroider when Beth was just four, setting her on a lifelong path of needlework. From then on, Beth's hands were always busy - knitting, sewing, weaving, making garments, first for her baby dolls and then for herself. She can’t remember a time when fiber hasn't been a central part of her life.

She describes her style as "rebellious traditional." A quilter since 1975, she is forever in search of easy and simply elegant solutions to quilting challenges. Everything she designs is geared toward teaching skill-expanding tips and techniques.

Beth lives in Saginaw, Michigan, with her husband, Kent, in a farmhouse built before 1860. They have four grown sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren. You've seen her on Simply Quilts, Kaye's Quilting Friends, and The Quilt Show with Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson. She's written several books.
